Every February Elizabeth leads a week-long yoga intensive in a warm climate. A week away from home with time to do 5 hours of day of yoga and meditation every day allows us to make shifts in awareness, to break bad habits and to see our lives with a bit more clarity and ease. It’s also fun!
This year join Elizabeth Greathouse and Experience Yoga Retreats for the

Upachaya Eco-Adventure and Wellness Retreat
February 4 – 11, 2012 in Honduras
This week is designed to open and fine tune our intuitive mind, to prepare us to stay in our grace and and center through the many changes currently happening all around us! We will practice classic Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, and be introduced to Kundalini Flow Yoga* to deepen our integrity toward self and others, balance priorities and take command of our minds and lives. This is a time of change on our planet and it is imperative we find our inner steadiness and balance if we are to get through it gracefully and to serve ourselves, familes, communities, and others. Prepare to hone your skills of focus, leadership, self-integrity, awareness, to awaken your clarity – AND TO RELAX AND ENJOY YOURSELF by breathing deeply in this quiet place.
Upachaya is in an idyllic setting, nestled in the jungle on Man O’ War Harbor on the island of Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras. This is a private setting tucked away from the mainstream providing you a tranquil setting and relaxed atmosphere. The second largest coral reef in the world is right there.
In addition to yoga and meditation twice daily, there will be plenty of time for your own journey into silence or kayaking, snorkeling, beach walking, ziplining, and spending time with others.
Your fee includes the following:
- Transportation to and from the Roatan airport (RTB) all course work
- Lodging for 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday
- Breakfast
- A guided kayak/snorkel tour
- Personal counseling with Elizabeth upon request
- does NOT include travel or meals other than breakfast
You must organize to get yourself to Roatan at your own expense – there are daily flights from the US on Delta, Continental, Taca, Spirit Air – and rumours American will start in January. Our course will start Sunday late afternoon, early evening. Plan to arrive on Saturday or Sunday, your choice – spend some time sleeping, acquainting yourself with the island, and we will gather Sunday late afternoon for our first meditation.
